WORTHINGTON, OH - Arrowhawk captain Mark Monahan has sustained major burns to his skin after falling asleep in a tanning bed for over 2 hours. Sources close to the player indicated Monahan was in good spirits but in a "ton of pain" and resting at his Worthington home. To make matters worse, Monahan has a public speaking engagement tonight at the Greek Orthodox Church, where he's scheduled to talk about the virtues of "Living a non-material life." Prior to today's tanning-bed incident, Monahan was seen driving a new, $80,000 Mercedes C class, complete with a hydraulic lift kit and a "Kevin Griffith sucks" bumper sticker. No word whether the speaking engagement will be cancelled.
Calls to the Arrowhawks offices were not returned.
