Whalers first up for Hawks

ARENA DISTRICT, OH - The 3rd seeded Arrowhawks will open the fall session playoffs tonight against the Whalers, formerly the Panthers. The Whalers have formidable goal scorers and always play the Arrowhawks tough. If the Hawks wingers aren't in the mood to backcheck, they'll get smoked. If they have their legs though, the ice should be titled in the Hawks favor. The puck is dropped at 10:10pm at the Easton Chiller. The Eskimos and CS Bank will square off before the Hawks take the ice. If the Arrowhawks win, they'll face the Maple Leafs in the semifinals the following Friday.

Bryan Griffith is scratched for tonight's matchup. He's home managing his wife's Pampered Chef party, hoping to earn enough money to buy a new pair of skates. Nate Mensel will move up to the top line with Kevin Griffith and Bryce Griffith. The line will have more than enough dangling power as each forward is capable of skating through traffic and scoring.
