Hawks split doubleheader
The Arrowhawks played their doubleheader against CS Bank (game one) and the Maple Leafs (game two) at the Chiller North last night. They lost the first in the final two minutes, 6-5 but won the second after coming from behind 5-4. Both games were as exciting as beer-league hockey could be. The official scorekeeper ever played music from the laptop (via Pandora) during breaks in action. Most the tunes were good, though there were a few "Turn that sissy teen crap off!" comments from the AH bench. Must have been while the Hawks were trailing or had just given up another goal to Mark Waterstreet and his almost red but mostly pink pants. If you'd like to see photos of the action, click here.
The win assures the Hawks the final playoff spot, besting the Bombers regardless of their game next week. The Hawks have a bye next week. The playoffs will begin two Friday's from now. Too lazy to check when that is.
