Jensen out for Eskimo game

ARENA DISTRICT, OH - Starting netminder and 3-time league MV Jason Jensen, is officially out for Friday's opening round playoff game against the Eskimos.

"His back just won't loosen up," said GM Rick 'Money' Titus. "He's headed to an acupuncturist later today for more treatment, but we're going to be cautious rather than risk further injury." he added.

Jensen was injured in a freak skateboarding accident while trying to "showoff for some local teens," according to his wife and number one fan, Alana Jensen. Jensen reportedly attempted a 980 on a half pipe and only succeeded in about 900 degrees of revolutions before crashing to the floor below. "He broke the kids board and had to buy him a new one," said his wife via phone interview. "He's able to walk around now and play video games and we're hopefull the back brace will come off before Christmas so he can compete in the local sledding competition, but we'll have to see," she added.

Management says they'll consider Jensen's history of stellar play when determining whether he'll be fined for the incident.

"We're disappointed in the injury, but he's a good dude and he has the best slashes on the team," said defensman Mac Lawless. "Our backup goalie will give the Eskimos all they can handle." he added.
