Fall signups underway

Attention all Arrowhawks
(past, present and currently passed-out behind a dumpster)

I'm looking for a few good men. What kind you ask? Goal scorers. Grinders. Playmakers. Defenseman so reliable we don't need a goalie, let alone the best damn goaltender in the league, period. Skaters that make that really cool 'swoosh' sound when they circle around the puck. Men that can make fun of Gooch when he goes ape-shit on the bench and can laugh at Nate when he falls over the blue-line. And I need them now.

It is time to commit to playing hockey with the Arrowhawks this fall.

Should there be enough players that wish to play, we'll field a second team. Since I'm not certain it'll be necessary, I haven't considered the new team name. Preliminary indications are we'll have at least 26 full-time skaters wanting to to play on Friday nights. It would be my preference to field a Friday night and Sunday night C2 Arrowhawk team, but we'll just have to see if enough guys want to play on Sundays.

NOTE: I will make every attempt to keep the 2007 Winter CAHL C2 championship Arrowhawk roster in-tact (so Torsok doesn't whine about being split from the dynamic duo, Morgan and Monahan; and Bryce can yell at his brother.)

Many of you have indicated you might have a guy or two that may join us this fall. Please forward this link to any interested skater, provided you vouch for the guys character, financial prowess to buy his teammates beer after the game and ability to not suck as much as me on the ice. If he passes those tests, he's Arrowhawk material, right Billy?!

Please respond to this post by Friday, August 17th with your plans for the fall, in or out. Remember, I'm looking for 100% yes or 100% no. A 12-pack of ice-cold beer will buy you an additional 3 days. Details below.

• League: Chiller CAHL C2 Friday or Sunday night hockey (indicate which you'd prefer)
• Games are played at all Chillers - North, Easton, Dublin, IceHaus
• Game times range between 8:20, 9:30 & 10:40pm
• Team size: 13-15 full-time skaters per team, with a 20 man roster, including subs
• 12 week season + playoffs for top 8 teams
• Approximate first game for fall session: Friday, Sept. 17th
• Cost: $185 or less, pending sponsorships - due by first game
• Subs: $15 per game
