Hawks Step up to Defensive Challenge

The ArrowHawks proved to everyone on Friday that they could not only score goals, but they were damn good at stopping them as well. 11 blocked shots was the official count from Toronto by the game's end.

"Dude, I swear they blocked twice that many!" said a shocked and slightly bored goaltender, Jason Jensen.

It may have seemed that way to him. During one particular flurry in front of the net while shorthanded, everyone on the ice made a save off a rebound, as all four hawks skaters were playing goalie in the crease.

"I found myself behind Jensen at one point and started to wonder why I was playing goalie with a half-shield" said a tie-dye clad Tom Morgan.

All in all, the game went rather smoothly for the Hawks. By winning that game, they moved three points ahead of the second place team, the Panthers.

  1. It was like beaches of Normandy, bodies everywhere -- only not with stinky old hockey players.
