BREAKING - Lawless suspended

COLUMBUS, OH- It's bad timing for one Arrowhawk defenseman.

In the midst of a run to the playoffs, Arrowhawk's veteran Mac Lawless has been suspended indefinitely from the hockey team for violating team rules. Lawless has been in trouble before.

In November 2008, Lawless was suspended for a single game for violating team rules. Lawless was also suspended for two games at the beginning of this season for an incident that happened in the spring, in which we're told he broke the team code of conduct.

"He's suspended for a violation of team rules. Within our organization we have a code of conduct, and in certain cases, individuals are suspended for violation of the league code of conduct," said Tom Morgan spokesman for the Arrowhawks. "This isn't a violation of the league code of conduct. It's something between Coach Titus and Mac. Again, that's something that I'll continue to communicate with Coach Titus on, and when the time comes, I'm sure Coach Titus will update everyone with the situation."

A source who has spoken to a number of people associated with the team tells AH.com that Lawless is seeking a spot on "Celebrity Rehab". Calls to VH1 to confirm the rumor have not been returned however ABC has issued a press release stating that Lawless is a finalist for next season's "Dancing With the Stars".

The Arrowhawks will host the Bombers this weekend at the Dublin Chiller.
