Mind-games don't effect Gooch

The Maple Leafs are a prolific offensive club. They led the league with 44 goals during the regular session. They aren't bad in the defensive category either, so the Hawks 4-1 victory was a bit of a surprise -- especially considering the Leafs ploy to throw the Hawks off their game by wearing mismatched socks, something that really bothers Arrowhawk defenseman Mike Gauthier.

Gauthier is vacationing in Aruba with his championship hat, but had the following response when asked about the Leafs head-games. "He knows that it pisses me off and since he can't beat my mad defensive skills on the ice he is trying to mess with my head. Little did he know this grasshopper has been strengthening the mind with mismatch sock and shoe drills at home."

Future opponents should take notice of the Arrowhawks commitment to psychological warfare and Gauthier's ability to suddenly be unaffected by mismatched socks.

"It no longer has an effect," texted Gooch.
