But that's not the point. Point is, he's been a damn good player for the Hawks down the stretch. He's notched 8 goals, with 4 helpers for a total of 12 points, 8 off the team lead. He cracks jokes in the locker room and doesn't seem to mind Terry's naked butt in his face while he's changing.
"Now that's saying something," said Walker. "I've seen my butt and it aint pretty."
Applehans is also the backup netminder. He appeared in two critical games while Jason Jensen recovered from having to run 2 miles up hill both ways.
