Friggin' Moe's aren't Stooges, advance to friggin' finals

LEWIS CENTER, OH - If you were at the game, you saw it so you know what happened. If you weren't, I'll sum it up in a paragraph. Arrowhawks were back in their modern red sweaters. Eskimos were in their icky yellow duds. The Hawks scored first on a brilliant laser sniped by Tom Morgan and his lightning fast hands from the high slot. The photographer couldn't catch it because it happened so fast (or because he was busy trying to open his pack of Twizzlers). The Moes countered not long after and added another to take the lead 2-1. Hawks netminder Jason Jensen was brilliant between the pipes, turning away glorious scoring chances by the Eskimos while Arrowhawk defenseman were busy counting fans in attendance (nine). Not to be outdone, the Mo's goalie did the same (made great saves, not counting fans). He's a big cat and covered his crease with swift precision. He controlled rebounds and thwarted a massive surge by the Hawks in the final minute of the game with Jensen pulled. The storyline in the victory was the Mo's tenacity to take away space when the Hawks had the puck, getting their sticks in passing lanes and bothering the puck carrier all night long. They blocked shot after shot and did a terrific job shutting down the Hawks top Law Firm line of Griffith, Griffith and Griffith. If this was a 10 games series it could easily end 5-5, the teams are so evenly matched. Good luck to the Eskimos in the finals.
